Disney autograph books are cool but here at Creative Mom 101, we like our Disneyland autographs where you can see them, on our backpacks!

After seeing these miniature (perfect for kids!) white backpacks for $10, I just couldn’t pass up making a bag that my nieces could wear around Disneyland. At first I had no intention of using the bags for autographs, I figured they would be great for holding any little toys or trinkets the girls might pick up while wandering around the park.

As I dove deeper into the DIY though, I realized how fun and perfect they would be to use for Disney autographs!

The awesome price point on these bags helped inspire this idea because for less than $15, I think it’s totally okay to have a bag that characters write all over! Such a fun souvenir!

Minnie Mouse is a fan favorite around here so that’s why I went with Minnie Mouse backpacks. Also, I was already making the shirts (pictured above) and you had to know we all were going to be rocking our Minnie Mouse ears at the park!

You could certainly make the bags for any character you like! Etsy has a whole section of Disney SVG’s that you can use with your cutting machine. I almost did a princess bag with this adorable Squad goals SVG file but this time around, traditional Minnie Mouse won out in the end!

Materials Needed:

  • White mini backpack
  • Cricut Machine
  • Black Iron On
  • Red Iron On
  • EasyPress or Iron
  • Minnie Mouse SVG
  • 1/2 inch pom poms (black, red, and white)
  • Black trim
  • Hot Glue
  • Scissors
  • Sharpies

How-To Video:

My aunty heart was super happy to see just how excited my nieces were over these autograph backpacks. Nothing better than seeing a DIY put to good use, especially when it brings all the smiles that melt your heart!

If you’re looking for an untraditional autograph idea to bring to Disneyland or Disney World, I hope this idea provides you with some inspiration! Autograph backpacks are definitely a hit in our family, I hope your kiddos love them too!

I’m a stay at home mum, and an aspiring photographer. I love taking care of my home and my family, and I also adore photography. Apart from being a mummy (/nurse/teacher/confidant am I right?), I also write on this blog full time, and I’m working towards opening a photo studio (fingers crossed!)
