A few years back I came up with the idea to incorporate children’s story books into my scrapbooking and it turned into the perfect gift for just about everyone in my family. Whether you want to show your Mom how much you appreciate her on Mother’s Day or your child is getting ready to go off to college (you could use “Oh The Places You’ll Go” like I did for my sister) these scrapbooks are a great gift for just about any occasion.
Having one myself (thanks to my siblings), it feels like you’re taking all those warm and fuzzy memories that come with growing up and emphasizing them by adding photos of family, favorite memories, etc… It’s the ultimate tearjerker, which is my favorite type of gift!
In honor of Mother’s Day coming up I’m showing the scrapbook I created for my mom. For her, I chose “Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch. It was a favorite in our household and since my siblings and I are all grown, I liked the idea of being able to match our ages to the ages of the child as the book goes on.
At the end of every scrapbook I’ve created, I also dedicated a page for each family member with a letter we had written to the recipient. Just a little something extra to really add that personalized touch!
If you’ve done any scrapbooking you know how much work it can be, but you also probably know that it’s a gift that will keep on giving for years to come.
I hope you try it out and if you do, be sure and share the finished product by tagging #Partyography on social media! I’d love to see your work! Happy scrapbooking!
