Sometimes, life gives you baby onions, so you make gluten free ginger sauce!
I tried to pull up a weed that was growing in my onion bed in my garden today and with it I pulled up a baby onion. 🙁
Look at this sad little baby onion. Pathetic.
I’ll throw this in my grill basket later with the squash I picked yesterday, but those greens will go great in some ginger sauce!
I have gotten addicted to these gluten free vegetable egg rolls from Feel Good Foods. The only problem is that they don’t come with some kind of dipping sauce and since you can’t just run out and find gluten free ginger sauce I make it and keep a jar in the fridge at all times.
This ginger sauce is sweet and instead of using GF Soy Sauce, I use GF Teriyaki sauce. It started by accident when I ran out of GF Soy Sauce one time, but it tastes great so I keep making it with the gluten free teriyaki sauce.
This is the gluten free teriyaki sauce I use in my ginger sauce.
This sauce is made by San J.
This sauce is so easy, I just throw everything into a small mason jar, shake it up and have a great sauce for my egg rolls.
Side note: I love mason jars! If you don’t have any, get some! My cousin Debbie had given me some honey from her bees in this cute jar and after it was all gone I have repurposed it for ginger sauce.
In my happy mason jar, I have put my GF Teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger and my chopped up greens from my onions. (You can use scallions from the store too if you don’t have a baby onion laying around.)
Shake it up and you have some delicious gluten free ginger sauce!
